This Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) aims is to provide practical applications of seismic stratigraphy for evaluating carbonate reservoirs with examples from the middle east. The main points of focus are:

1. Understanding the crucial principles of sequence stratigraphy
2. Recognising the main features on seismic that subdivide the rock packages into depositional sequences and systems tract
3. Creating and understanding spatial-temporal plots (Wheeler diagrams)
4. Carbonate sequence/seismic-stratigraphy: main differences with clastics
5. Understand how sequence stratigraphy can be used to determine reservoir heterogeneity and distribution in carbonates reservoirs
6. Sequence stratigraphic framework of carbonate reservoirs in the Arabian Gulf
