About this Training Course

Growing regulatory and investor pressure has moved climate change initiatives further up the agenda in the energy industry. As a result of this development, there is increased attention and effort to further understand carbon emissions and markets around the world. The Paris Agreement, with its universal requirement on all countries to submit nationally determined contributions (NDCs), marks a significant change for the framework of international co-operation through carbon markets. The low-carbon energy transition initiatives focus on decarbonizing the energy industry and their respective economies as a whole. To achieve this, the role and potential for carbon pricing and carbon markets will be crucial. During this 3 full-day training course, participants will learn about the key policy issues and the main trends in emissions markets such as future carbon pricing and fiscal policy expectations.
