Effective corrosion management aims to prolong the service life of assets, reduce maintenance costs, ensure safety, and maintain the functionality of equipment and structures.

This course provides the basis for understanding systematic management of corrosion in relation to wider asset integrity management. It provides the strategies and tools required to implement an effective corrosion management system. The content uses oil and gas production to explain the concepts, but the principles can be applied to any industry sector where corrosion is a significant factor. Participants will also benefit from an appreciation of the influence of corrosion prevention and control in creating a more efficient approach to monitoring and management of asset integrity and inspection.
