About this Classroom Training

In an era where data centres are pivotal in the functioning of modern technologies, their energy consumption and environmental impact have come under scrutiny. This course addresses two critical aspects of data centre management which are liquid cooling systems tailored for AI workloads and decarbonisation practices alongside heat reuse technologies. Data centres, particularly those designed for artificial intelligence (AI) applications, demand advanced cooling solutions due to their high-power densities and intensive computational requirements. Traditional air-cooling methods often fall short in efficiently managing the heat generated by these systems.

This course will delve into the principles of liquid cooling its various methodologies. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how these systems can enhance the performance, optimise energy consumption, and reduce operational costs. Simultaneously, the course will focus on the pressing need for decarbonisation the data centre sector. With data centres accounting for a significant portion of global electricity use, innovative strategies to capture and reuse waste heat are essential. Participants will explore technologies, learning how to implement effective decarbonisation strategies that not only comply with sustainability regulations but also enhance operational efficiency.

By the end of this training, participants will be equipped to develop actionable plans for integrating advanced cooling solutions and decarbonisation strategies for data centre operations, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the challenges of modern energy-intensive environments.

This course will be delivered face-to-face over 4-day sessions, comprising of 8 hours per day, 1 hour lunch and 2 breaks of 15 minutes per day. Course Duration: 26 hours in total, 26 CPD points.
