This Micro VILT is for any writer who has to produce data-driven reports or any other documents including slides. We start off by looking at key organising guidelines for the body of reports. This is vital when considering what kind of data you will later discuss. Are you presenting a comparison of two or more factors? Are you going to discuss a variety of data sets? If so, which will you discuss first? The most or least important? Following this, we will look at the standard guidelines for presenting data, including the choice of visual, numbering and titling systems and how to caption visuals. We will also discuss the ways to present data on slides, and how to avoid the common pitfalls of an excess of information on each slide.
