About this Training Course

This 2-day training course provides an overview of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and analyses the disclosure requirements of different sustainability reporting frameworks including the key UN initiatives, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the requirements of ISSB’s (International Sustainability Standards Board) Standards.

The ISSB builds on the work of various reporting initiatives, including the industry-based Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Standards, Integrated Reporting Framework, the Task Force for Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) and the World Economic Forum’s Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics.

The course covers in-depth the application of the requirements of IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures. In addition, it provides an overview of mandatory requirements in other key jurisdictions (European Union, Asia, UK, USA). During the course, we will look at real-life sustainability reports to understand the reporting and disclosure of ESG information and discuss the interlink between ESG and financial reporting.
