A privately owned Lebanese independent upstream oil and gas exploration and production company had made several discoveries and are currently producing over 28,000 BOPD which required the need for a Well Integrity Management System.
They then reached out to PetroEdge for onsite assistance to support the implementation of their Well Integrity Management System. The project involved the following:
- Preparation of a Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) in accordance with ISO 16053 Pt 1 and anticipated MOG Guidelines
- Review of existing wells and incorporation of all wells into a Well Integrity Severity Evaluation Ranking (WISER) Database. This enabled the company to focus on “critical wells” issues
- Preparation of a Wells Failure Model incorporating detailed Risk Assessments
- Preparation of a Company Wells Barrier Policy
- Preparation of Generic Well Barrier Diagrams for all Well Types
- Preparation of Specific Procedures for all aspects of Well Integrity which shall include Barrier Verification, Maintenance & Testing as well as data recording
- Preparation of a RACI Chart for all Well Integrity Associated Tasks
- Provision of Generic Type WIMS Software that can be used to record all necessary data and/or recommendation as to the available Bespoke Software providers
Further remote assistance was later provided to review the documents prepared by the Well Integrity Focal Point. Guidance was also given to allow the WIMS to be owned by the key users in the company.
