A giant hydrocarbon exploration company currently operates the Forties & Beryl Fields in the UK Sector of the North Sea. These assets are over 40 years old, with the majority of the producing wells over 25 years of age.
A number of Safety Improvement Notices were issued by the oil giant’s HS&E department, highlighting an urgent need for all personnel involved in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of these assets to be well versed in well integrity.
After a discussion with PetroEdge, a bespoke training course was designed to provide the exploration company offshore-based production operations personnel with an understanding of:

During the delivery of the course, learning checks were conducted to ensure that all participants had a clear understanding of the topics through group exercises and case study reviews based on well integrity issues that had occurred on the exploration company’s ageing assets.
