This 5 full-day highlights the impact of advanced renewable generation, digital technologies and new operational flexibility solutions in the energy market. These advancements facilitate a more intense cross border trading.
Most countries designed their own portfolio of climate actions with an accelerated penetration of renewable energies or, importing renewable energy. These changes take place at unprecedented speed and add further complexity to the operation of electricity markets, while presenting new opportunities.
The Asian Markets, particularly the ASEAN region can tap in its vast potential of solar energy and geothermal. A global, unified vision is emerging to support each of the ASEAN countries’ energy needs and decarbonization goals. NREL collaborated with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Regional Development Mission for Asia to assess the technical potential of floating PV throughout the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
