Equipment, Facilities and Maintenance > High-Pressure Multistage Pumps Design, Selection, Operation and Condition Monitoring

About this Training Course

High-Pressure multistage pumps are mission critical in many industrial applications, especially power plants. This 5-day training course will provide a detailed comprehension on the selection, operation and maintenance of high-pressure multistage pumps. This course will enrich your understanding on their design, operation, characteristics, maintenance, operations, and asset management essentials that has a major impact on process quality, equipment longevity, plant reliability, availability and economics of operations.

In this course, we will zoom into rotodynamics, selection of pumping systems auxiliaries, and examine the impact of transients on pump behavior and its failure modes. This course is punctuated with practical tips, details and information related to industry best practices, and case studies from real life to enrich the learning experience.

By participating in this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand salient design features of multistage pumps
  • Examine the pump selection criteria for power plants
  • Explore the selection of allied equipment – VSD, recirculation valves and instrumentation
  • Prepare a predictive maintenance plan
  • Carry out inspections and approvals
  • Troubleshoot failures and problems
  • Analyze pump operations and monitor performance
  • Design condition monitoring strategies

The course will greatly benefit the following groups but not limited to:

  • Process Engineers
  • High pressure pump operators
  • Maintenance Engineers & Managers
  • Reliability Engineers
  • Operations Engineers & Managers
