About this Classroom Training
The hydrogen value chain is pivotal for Southeast Asia’s transition to sustainable energy, addressing the region’s growing energy demands and climate commitments. Currently, Southeast Asia produces around 3 million metric tons of hydrogen, mainly from natural gas. However, a shift towards green hydrogen production is underway, driven by national policies and international collaborations. Southeast Asia’ is positioning themselves in the green hydrogen market, leveraging their renewable resources to meet increasing hydrogen demand.
Southeast Asia’s hydrogen demand is expected to rise significantly due to industrial expansion and the need for cleaner energy solutions. Globally, robust hydrogen value chains are increasingly tied to certification frameworks that ensure sustainable and traceable production. For businesses in Southeast Asia, understanding hydrogen certifications presents a valuable opportunity to access new financing options and participate in global trade with markets where advanced clean hydrogen regulations are already established. By aligning with these certifications, businesses can enhance their competitiveness, meet international sustainability requirements, and unlock growth in the evolving green hydrogen market.
This 3-day course will provide insights into the hydrogen fuel lifecycle, certification processes, and sustainability criteria relevant to the region’s market dynamics. While global trends are discussed, the focus will be on local opportunities, challenges, and policy developments that shape the hydrogen landscape. As Southeast Asia navigates its energy transition, understanding the complexities of the hydrogen value chain and establishing effective certification pathways will be crucial. This strategic focus will not only address local energy needs but also contribute to global efforts in achieving sustainable energy goals.
This course will be delivered via face-to-face over 3-day sessions, comprising of 8 hours per day, 1 hour lunch and 2 breaks of 15 minutes per day. Course Duration: 19.5 hours in total, 19.5 CPD points. This course can also be delivered through Virtual Inspector Led Training (VILT).
