About this Training Course
This intensive 5-day executive program equips oil & gas leaders in Southeast Asia with the skills and insights to navigate the region’s accelerating energy transition. The program focuses on the practical application of decarbonization strategies, from carbon accounting and carbon markets to emerging solutions such as CCUS, hydrogen, renewables, and digital monitoring tools. Participants also strengthen their ability to assess investment cases, apply financial instruments, align with ASEAN regulatory frameworks, and embed carbon management into corporate strategy and leadership practice.
Momentum in Southeast Asia makes this training especially timely. Governments are implementing carbon pricing mechanisms such as Singapore’s carbon tax, Indonesia’s ETS pilot, and Malaysia’s voluntary carbon market. At the same time, investors are demanding credible ESG and Net Zero strategies, while energy companies must address both physical and transition risks to maintain competitiveness. Alongside these challenges, opportunities are accelerating. CCUS hubs, hydrogen pilots, renewable integration, and electrification projects are emerging across the region, underpinned by national Net Zero commitments between 2050 and 2065. To respond, participants will engage in case studies, financial and technology workshops, and a capstone project where they design and present a Carbon Management Roadmap tailored to Southeast Asia’s energy landscape.
Ultimately, this program prepares leaders to meet regulatory, financial, and technological drivers with confidence, equipping them to design strategies, evaluate investments, and deliver roadmaps that ensure both compliance and long-term competitiveness in the global energy market.
