We are currently recruiting Strategic Learning & Development Manager for our Asia Pacific & Middle East markets division. The role will involve acquiring company sponsored participants to attend or purchase a wide range of technical and management courses. The candidate for this role need not have prior experience in the energy industry, and will be provided with intensive hands-on training about the industry and how to secure client participation for our portfolio of training courses.
This position offers great learning opportunities for experienced sales and business development professionals from the training, skills development or conference industry. Successful candidates will have strong earning opportunities and career advancement. If you have experience in selling training from other industries, it will be an added advantage.
Position: Strategic Learning & Development Manager  
Reporting to: Director


  • Developing strategic key accounts, whilst winning new and important business for the company
  • Generating, managing and executing client visits with confidence, being proactive in selling a variety of training solutions and preparing sales proposals
  • Identifying learning & development trends and market information, and utilising it to make balanced business choices to improve client’s team performance
  • Ensuring productivity levels are sustained so that targets are achieved on a monthly to quarterly basis. Sales productivity includes cold calling and farming existing accounts, updating the CRM and hitting the desired target on a quarterly basis
  • Strong ability to take initiative and excellent communication skills with customers


  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in corporate B2B telesales and business development in the training or education sector
  • Ability to travel extensively locally and regionally for client meetings and presentations
  • Account management experience and ability to also develop new client relationships through phone calls or from face-to-face meetings
  • Strong writing skills and able to communicate persuasively with senior management face to face
  • Resourceful, independent and skilled at generating highly targeted opportunities
  • Ambitious and committed in achieving success in a career in business development
  • Prior experience in selling in the media, education and hospitality sectors will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding or a keen interest in current affairs related to the energy
  • Qualified with Diploma or Degree in any field
