About this Training Course
Hard-to-abate industries such as steel, cement, chemicals, refining, aviation, and shipping represent a significant share of global greenhouse gas emissions and face structural challenges in achieving deep decarbonisation. Unlike other sectors, these industries require a combination of technologies, infrastructure, and systemic changes to reduce emissions while maintaining competitiveness.
This 3-day training provides a comprehensive and practical understanding of carbon management strategies across these sectors, covering the full range of decarbonisation levers including energy efficiency, electrification, fuel switching, hydrogen, and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). The course is based on real-world project evidence and derived from cross-project benchmarking across multiple industries and regions, including Asia-Pacific and Europe.
