About this Training
This technical training program provides a practical framework for developing piping class specifications for industrial plant piping systems, covering applicable codes, joining methods, plant services, thickness calculation, component selection, and branch connection criteria.
The course is delivered 100% online and on-demand, allowing participants to study at their own pace. Instructor support will be provided through the consultation forum on the Virtual Campus. Participants receive 120 days of platform access to complete the course.
Course Outline
This module covers the main technical aspects required to develop piping class specifications for industrial piping systems according to ASME B31 requirements, reference standards, and complementary engineering criteria.
Participants will learn how to classify plant services, define operating and design conditions, establish pressure-temperature ranges, select piping components, and organize branch connection requirements within a complete piping class specification.
The course also includes practical case studies, conceptual questions, design and calculation sheets, and lessons learned based on real industrial projects.
