Course Outline

The advent of liquefaction and maritime transportation of natural gas has significantly reshaped the global energy landscape. As the drive to lower global CO₂ emissions intensifies, natural gas has emerged as a critical transitional fuel—offering a cleaner alternative to coal and oil until renewable solutions become universally viable in terms of availability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

LNG is now integral to ensuring global energy security and introduces greater flexibility across supply chains. This course provides a structured introduction to the four primary stages of the LNG Value Chain: Gas Exploration & Production, Treatment and Liquefaction, Storage-Loading-Shipping, and Reception-Distribution-Usage.

LNG therefore plays an essential role in the global energy supply security and brings flexibility to the energy supply chain.
