About this Micro Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)

Casing design is essentially a balancing act to ensure that the load on a piece of pipe never exceeds its ability to withstand that load. Consequently, it is essential to be able to quantify the strength of pipe at the time and under the conditionals that the load is applied. The majority of pipe used in a well is manufactured according to the requirements of ISO 11960 (API Spec 5CT). API have historically provided formulae for determining the strength of casing and tubing in API Bulletin 5C3. This Micro VILT examines the strength of pipe and how it can be effected by the manufacturing process.
