About this Training
This training program provides a structured technical approach to piping stress and flexibility analysis, covering the fundamentals of mechanics of materials, stress behaviour, thermal expansion, boundary conditions, code requirements and software-based analysis.
The course is delivered 100% online and on-demand, allowing participants to study at their own pace. Instructor support will be provided through the consultation forum on the Virtual Campus. Participants will have one year of access to the platform to complete the course.
Course Outline
This module covers the main technical aspects required to analyse piping systems under mechanical, thermal and operating loads according to applicable piping codes and complementary engineering criteria.
Participants will learn how to evaluate stresses and deformations, understand the influence of stiffness and constraints, define load cases, model piping systems using computational tools, and interpret stress analysis results against allowable code limits.
The course also includes practical case studies, conceptual questions, software-based exercises, simplified calculations and lessons learned based on real industrial projects.
