About this Training
This training program provides a structured introduction to piping stress and flexibility analysis, covering basic concepts, mechanics of materials, stress fundamentals, simplified analysis, degrees of freedom, boundary conditions and calculation tools.
The course is delivered 100% online and on-demand, allowing participants to study at their own pace. Instructor support will be provided through the consultation forum on the Virtual Campus. Participants will have 180 days of access to the platform to complete the course.
Course Outline
This module covers the main technical aspects required to understand stress and flexibility analysis in piping systems according to applicable piping codes and complementary engineering criteria.
Participants will learn how to identify loads, evaluate stresses and deformations, understand the role of stiffness and constraints, distinguish between induced and allowable stresses, and recognise the main analysis methods used in piping design.
The course also includes introductory videos, assimilation questions, simplified calculations, code-related explanations and practical engineering criteria used in industrial piping projects.
