About this Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)

Many routine tasks involve pressure testing which are necessary to ensure that the equipment is safe for use. However, there is always the possibility that personnel can become complacent with regards to the hazards involved in the operation. In addition, the tests themselves carry inherent risks such as loss of containment, damage to assets and even serious injury and loss of lives. Safe working with pressurized equipment helps to reduce the risk of an incident occurring at the workplace. This Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) course has been developed and is intended for individuals who are required to carry out pressure testing, whether during normal operations or during maintenance. It can also be used as a refresher for those who carry out pressure testing regularly and may have become less aware of the hazards and risks involved. No prior experience is required for the complete understanding of this course. This VILT course does not contain references to specific legislation or laws but has been developed according to current HSE guidelines industry best practices and company procedures.
