About this Training
This training program introduces the application of ASME B31.12 to hydrogen piping and pipeline systems, with emphasis on code structure, hydrogen-related design considerations, materials selection, inspection, testing, operation and maintenance requirements.
The course is delivered 100% online and on-demand, allowing participants to study at their own pace. Instructor support will be provided through the consultation forum on the Virtual Campus. Participants will have 90 days of access to the platform.
Course Outline
This module covers the main technical aspects required to understand hydrogen piping and pipeline systems according to ASME B31.12 and complementary engineering criteria related to materials, design, construction, inspection and operation.
Participants will learn how to navigate the code structure, understand the influence of hydrogen properties on piping and pipeline design, compare ASME B31.12 with related ASME B31 codes, and review the main requirements applicable to industrial piping and pipeline systems.
The course also includes practical examples, conceptual questions, technical explanations, code-based design criteria and lessons learned based on industrial piping and pipeline applications.
