About this Training

This course provides a comprehensive deep dive into the entire LNG value chain, from upstream gas supply to end-user markets. Through 13 carefully structured modules, the course combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, featuring real-world case studies and hands-on workshops that simulate actual industry scenarios.

The program uniquely integrates technical, commercial, and financial aspects of LNG operations, covering everything from global market dynamics to detailed contract structures and risk management frameworks. Participants engage with complex topics such as LNG sales agreements, transportation logistics, terminal operations, and project financing, all while learning through practical examples drawn from worldwide LNG developments.

What sets this course apart is its emphasis on interactive learning through three major case studies, including structuring an LNG project, operating a regasification terminal, and developing a complete commercial structure for a hypothetical West African LNG project. This practical approach ensures participants can immediately apply their learning to real-world situations they encounter in their professional roles.

This course is only available in classroom training format.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Master the intricacies of LNG commercial agreements and contract structures across the entire value chain, from production sharing arrangements to terminal usage agreements
  • Develop advanced capabilities in LNG project risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and commercial risk matrix development
  • Gain practical experience in LNG terminal scheduling, storage optimization, and operational management through hands-on simulation workshops
  • Understand sophisticated LNG pricing mechanisms, including price indexation, S-curves, and spot market dynamics
  • Acquire expertise in evaluating LNG project economics and structuring project financing deals, including latest industry benchmarks and financial modeling techniques

This course is designed for professionals who need comprehensive, practical knowledge of LNG commercial management across the entire value chain. Participants should have few years of experience, typically mid-to-senior level managers from international oil companies, national energy organizations, and strategic consulting firms who are directly responsible for complex LNG project development, commercial structuring, and strategic decision-making.

The course’s immersive approach includes three intensive case study workshops where participants will actively model LNG project structures, analyze complex commercial scenarios, and develop strategic solutions, ensuring that learning is practical, immediately applicable, and deeply interactive.
