About this Training Course

This 5-day training course will focus on main circuit pumps for the Thermal and Combined Cycle Power plants which includes design, selection, operation and maintenance and condition monitoring. The pumps for thermal power plants include the boiler water circulation pumps, boiler feed water pumps, condensate handling pumps, and cooling water pumps.

This course will also cover the salient design features of each category of the pumps, their specifications, inspection, testing and approval criteria, including installation and operation, instrumentation and condition monitoring. This course includes case studies, exercises and practical information catered for everyday operations.

Your expert course leader has more than 38 years of diversified industrial experience. He has worked and been extensively trained at one of the worlds’ leading pump manufacturing company – KSB Pumps. He has worked in design, quality assurance and manufacturing, including testing of pumps, and along with field installation and on-site troubleshooting. He has deep experience related to pumps and pumping systems includes design of pumping systems, operations and maintenance, inspections and testing, condition monitoring, vibration analysis, seals and sealing systems, and troubleshooting.

His expertise includes chemical process pumps, seal-less pumps, canned motor pumps, and pumps for water and wastewater application, pumps for fire-fighting applications, pumps for pumping for handling special liquids such as slurries, solids laden liquid, gasliquid mixtures etc. He has a master’s degree in engineering from Univ. of California Davis, USA, and is a Category II vibration analyst from Mobius Institute. For the last 5 years he has been providing on-site and online technical trainings worldwide.
