About this Training

This three-day intensive workshop equips energy industry professionals with the practical skills needed to negotiate Gas Sales Agreements (GSAs) and LNG Sales and Purchase Agreements (SPAs) in complex and evolving markets. The program focuses on the commercial, legal, and strategic dynamics that shape gas contracting and LNG project commercialization.
Participants will examine how buyers and sellers structure agreements that allocate price, volume, and risk, and how domestic allocation requirements, export considerations, and regulatory oversight influence negotiation outcomes.
The course combines expert instruction with hands-on clause analysis, deal structuring exercises, and a multi-party negotiation simulation designed to replicate real-world LNG/GSA negotiation dynamics. By the end of the workshop, participants will have developed a practical, negotiation-focused understanding of gas contracts and the skills to structure and negotiate commercially viable agreements.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
• Structure and negotiate Gas Sales Agreements (GSAs) and LNG SPAs
• Analyze and apply pricing mechanisms, including oil-indexation, hybrid pricing, and price review clauses
