About this Training Course
This 2 day course provides an opportunity to examine analogue data from turbidite reservoirs. The course will review the depositional setting, sequences that are associated with clastic deepwater systems, the geological controls on reservoir quality and architecture, and put the environment into context of the petroleum system.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Gain an understanding of deepwater depositional systems, how they form and how they are identified using different data sets
- Identify reservoir quality and the geological controls
- Understand the risks and uncertainties in deepwater exploration
This course will benefit:
- Exploration and production geologists
- Geophysicists
- Stratigraphers
- Reservoir engineers
- Petrophysicists.
