This 3-day Advanced Drilling Fluids course is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of drilling fluid systems, their design, performance optimization, and role in wellbore integrity and drilling efficiency. The program blends theory with operational insights, emphasizing hydraulics, rheology, wellbore stability, fluid chemistry, solids control, and advanced applications including HPHT and cementing interfaces. Real-world case studies and field practices will help bridge the gap between engineering design and on-site decision making.

Your expert course leader is a highly experienced drilling professional with over 34 years in the oil and gas industry, including more than 5,000 days of rig-site and operational support experience. He has spent over 18 years designing and delivering advanced training programs globally across drilling, fluids engineering, and well control. Notably, he served as the Technical Program Manager for Total’s global training for Drilling, Fluids, and Well Intervention Supervisors (2012–2020).
He was consistently rated as one of the top drilling instructors, developing and delivering high-impact courses on wellbore stability, stuck pipe prevention, hydraulics, ERD, and fluid systems. His deep understanding of both water-based and non-aqueous fluids, coupled with extensive operational knowledge and a strong focus on wellbore integrity and drilling performance, makes him exceptionally qualified to lead this Advanced Drilling Fluids course.
