About this Classroom Training
This comprehensive training course is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of produced water and its treatment in the context of the oil and gas industry. Produced water, the water that comes to the surface during oil and gas production, presents unique challenges and requires specialized treatment to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and to protect the surrounding ecosystems.
In this course, participants will delve into the fundamentals of produced water, exploring its composition, sources, and the regulatory landscape surrounding its management. The trainer will discuss the various techniques and technologies employed in primary, secondary, and tertiary separation processes to effectively remove contaminants from produced water. Additionally, trainer will cover the emerging trends, innovations, and future outlook of produced water in the oil and gas industry.
Throughout the course, participants will examine real-world case studies, examples, and best practices to provide practical insights into the challenges and solutions related to produced water. By the end of this course, participants will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, and optimize produced water systems, ensuring efficient and sustainable water management in oil and gas operations.
This course will be delivered face-to-face over 3-days, comprising of 8 hours per day, 1 hour lunch and 2 breaks of 15 minutes per day. Course Duration: 19.5 hours in total, 19.5 CPD points. This course can also be delivered through Virtual Inspector Led Training
By the end of this classroom training course, the participants will be able to:
- Develop a foundational understanding of water treatment technologies, including their principles and applications.
- Gain an overview of the subject of produced water in oil and gas and exploring the challenges.
- Explore emerging technologies and innovations in water treatment, focusing on advancements that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Understand the control of scaling in water treatment processes and learn strategies to prevent and mitigate scaling issues.
- Study techniques for dealing with emulsions in water treatment, including methods for separation and stabilization.
- Learn about current industry practices and best practices in water treatment, considering operational considerations, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability.
