Primavera P6 Training: Project Planning and Control with Oracle Primavera® is designed to help participants understand the process of planning and controlling projects using Oracle Primavera P6 23.12 (2024) and earlier versions. The course guides learners through the complete project lifecycle, from initial planning to project completion, combining software functionality with practical project management concepts. Participants will gain hands-on experience using Primavera P6 to build, organize, and manage project schedules effectively.
Structured according to project phases, this training introduces the essential tools and methodologies required for successful project planning and control. Participants will learn how to create project calendars, add and organize activities, allocate resources, save project baselines, and manage project data within Primavera P6. The terminology and principles used throughout the course reflect current industrial project management methodologies, ensuring practical relevance across project-driven industries.
Delivered by certified trainer with consulting and engineering backgrounds in project planning and control, the course combines software instruction with practical industry insights. The VILT course will be delivered online in 5 half-day sessions comprising 4 hours per day, with 2 breaks of 15 minutes per day.
Software Requirements
Participants are required to have Oracle Primavera P6 (minimum version 8.3) installed prior to the course. This may be through an existing company license or an Oracle evaluation/trial installation.
